When a client approached my partner and me about a project to help people break the cycle of negative thinking, I was immediately intrigued.
As I dove into the research, I learned some startling statistics - 80% of the average person's 12,000-60,000 thoughts per day are negative, and 95% are repetitive. No wonder so many people struggle with negative self-talk and thought patterns that can harm our mental and physical health.
Through user interviews, I found that positive affirmations and self-talk can be an effective way to combat negative thinking. However, developing this habit is challenging for many people, which is where our app comes in. Our goal is to create an easy-to-use, reliable tool that helps users retrain their brains to focus on the positive.
